Kids? -he smiles at the thought of it- I would love kids… I know, for once I am not panicking. -he chuckles- I mean… if you are so prepared to take the risk, then I believe that I should be more than willing to take it with you.

“You would really have kids?” she says, relieved. “I would take any risk to be with you Remus…”

Of course I would really have kids. Its one thing I have always wanted to do… thought, of course, I do have a lot of worries… I feel as if with child I will become calmer -he grins- I am glad that you think such things, Dora… we should announce this to your parents pretty soon, eh?

“I’m sure you will..” she smiled and took his hand and led him to the Floo, “Perhaps we can go now? I’m sure they will be just as ecstatic as we are.”

Really? Right now? -he can’t help but gulp a little- They’ll be okay with it?

“Yes, right now!” she laughed as she threw Floo powder in the fireplace, “They will be perfectly fine with it…they love me, and want me to be happy.”

-he looks at her, worried for a moment but he soon agrees to it- Okay then. Do I look presentable? -he chuckles-

“Of course darling!” she walked into the green flames and said the name of her parents house. He followed right behind her.

“Mum. Dad. I have a surprise for you!” she called out to her parents.

-he simply follows her into the flames before he is greeted with the familiar surroundings of her parents’ household- Do you think they’re in?

She walked out and looked around her, “Yes, they hardly go out.” She walked down the hallway and into the kitchen. Sitting at the table was her father, Ted Tonks, drinking a cup of coffee and reading the paper.

“Hi daddy!” she smiled, and motioned for Lupin to come over.

I’m coming i’m coming… -he mouths to her as he walks along the corridor to the kitchen. When he sees Ted, he smiles- Hello again, Ted. Its nice to see you again.

“It’s good to see you too Remus,” he stood up to shake the man’s hand, “So, what is going on? You said you had a surprise for your Mother and I, Dora?”

“Where is Mum?” she looked out the kitchen window, :”Because Remus and I do have a bit of an announcement to make.”

“She’s out in the garden. I get her, excuse me for a moment,” he said before walking out the door that led to the backyard. ”Dromeda!” he called.

Tonks turned to Remus and grinned, “See? I told you, my dad enjoys your company Remus. They will take the news very well I expect.” I hope Mum does.

-he shakes the man’s hand briskly and before he knows it Ted has turned away again- I know, I know… but I don’t like to be a bother, you know that Dora. -he chuckles- How are we going to announce this?

She called out from the study of the small cottage they shared. She had just finished a Floo Call with her mum, Andromeda, and her mother had asked her when she would be hearing the pitter patter of little feet again.

I’ve told you a thousand times about this, Tonks… its bad enough that we’re dating, never mind marriage. Do you know how dangerous that would be?! -he shakes his head- I can’t yet. Not until we’re safe.

“And I’ve told you a million times, that it doesn’t matter to me. I’m an Auror for Merlin’s sake! I deal with danger everyday.” Her hair turned to it’s usual bubble-gum pink colour, “And I love you so much, the danger doesn’t phase me…”

Its just… you should know how much the wizarding world hates my kind. Despises us. I mean… I am in no position to be looking after you, I have no money, no job… no place to stay which is why I stay here with you. -he looks up at her bubbly self and smiles- But I love you too, Dora. I really do…

She stood up and crossed the room to stand in front of him, she put a hand on his cheek, “I don’t need to be looked after, I’ve managed all these years by myself,” she smiled, “And I don’t care what people think, I’m a Metamorphmagus for Merlin’s sake. Just marry me already!”

The biggest smile spread across her lips, and her hair changed rapidly, to just about every colour under the sun, “Oh Remus!” She jumped into his arms.

I’m guessing that’s a yes then? -he laughs as he holds her in his arms with ease. He smiles at her rapidly changing hair colour- I have a feeling it is…

“Yes, it’s a yes!” she smiled before kissing him. “I think we should do this the sooner the better…”

The sooner the better yes… -he smiles and leans in to kiss her back- But… one thing. You know that it will have to be, private? Right?

She smiled against his lips, “Yes I understand. I’ve never wanted a big wedding anyway. If it’s just you, me and an official, then that is all I need.”

…but I haven’t a ring. -he frowns- I don’t know what to do about rings… I can’t afford any.

She thought for a moment, “Maybe I can ask my parents to help us? And I have some money saved…” she smiled, “It’s all going to work out Remus, don’t worry so much.”

Bill! -she shouts, running over to him and putting a hand on his scarred cheek. She lets out a small chuckle- Trust you to be the one who gets attacked by a were… honestly.

She smiled at the small family reunion, then walked over to hug Lupin, holding on a bit longer than usual. “Are you alright Remus?” she whispered in his ear.

”Being older means being a strong man and such. I survived a werewolf attack, doesn’t that make me cool?” He chuckled, “But I’m fine, Gin. Don’t worry. Lupin says I will just have werewolf tendency like… liking rare meat and such but nothing major. But more importantly, how are you? Did you fight in the battle last night? Are you hurt?” He bombarded her with a hoard of questions, his brotherly instincts starting to take over.

I’m fine, Dora… -he assures her, looking to check and see if she has gained any injury- Are you?
